Should you keep a dieting diary?

I think this is a good idea. The time you spend trying to shed weight is probably a life changing experience. You will know pain and failure. You will know despair and hope. You will experience pains and aches in places you never thought could feel pain and aches. You will become obsessive looking at every single calorie in your meal and hopefully you will lose weight.
Keeping a diary enables you to keep track of all this experience and might actually be useful in posterity. The diary will set out in black and white what you have achieved and you can go back and review it to see whether you are meeting the slimming targets you set yourself. A diary is a record of your achievements and your failures.
I am now writing from a self-interest perspective. It is very important that the people share their experiences of dieting because it proves everyone else with a platform to review where they may have gone wrong. This is a case where to share is to gain. A blog such as the one we are operating would never see the light of day if people did not come forward to share their experiences.
Every time I make a post I always appeal to people to come in and make comments. It does not matter if I agree with the comments or not as long as you are communicating. In fact you can even communicate one to one through the use of repeat posts and responses. I would very much like to be able to respond to all your posts.
So if you are thinking of starting a dieting diary by all means do so and I will be there to encourage you all the way. This forum is a good starting point for you to share your ideas. You can use it as a starting point to get yourself noticed and to get other people to engage in your experiences.
If you are lacking motivation in any way once again you can rely on the support of the community online to give you tips and to encourage you to follow your dreams as well as continuing with your current dieting activities. I look forward to hearing from you and will be checking the blog from time to time to see how well you are doing or if there are any comments.
